Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors’ relationship with you. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our services.

2. Definitions

Client: The individual or entity engaging Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors for services.

Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors: Refers to Koste Pty Ltd, ABN 27 168 494 942.

Services: All services provided by Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors including but not limited to tax depreciation schedules, insurance replacement reporting, and construction cost advice.

3. Services

3.1 Scope of Services
Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors provides comprehensive tax depreciation schedules and related services. Detailed descriptions of our services are available on our website.

3.2 Service Delivery
Our services will be provided in a professional manner consistent with industry standards. Koste reserves the right to modify the scope of services as required, with prior notice to the Client.

4. Fees and Payment

4.1 Fees
The fees for our services will be as agreed in the service engagement letter or quotation provided to the Client. All fees are subject to change with notice.

4.2 Payment Terms
Invoices are payable within 30 days of issuance unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may incur interest charges as per applicable laws.

5. Client Obligations

5.1 Provision of Information
The Client must provide accurate and complete information necessary for Koste to perform the services. Any delays caused by incomplete or inaccurate information will not be the responsibility of Koste.

5.2 Access to Property
Where property access is required for our services, the Client must ensure safe and reasonable access to the property.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the services, including but not limited to reports, schedules, and related documents, remain the property of Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential all information disclosed by the other party in connection with the services, except where disclosure is required by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our services.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement by providing written notice. Upon termination, the Client will be invoiced for all services provided up to the date of termination.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

11. Amendments

Koste Chartered Quantity Surveyors reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The current version will be available on our website.

12. Fee Guarantee

We guarantee to achieve at least twice the quoted fee in depreciation deductions within the first 12 months from the date the property first became available as an income-producing asset, unless otherwise mentioned and/or agreed. This guarantee does not apply where an estimated deduction of less than twice the quoted fee has been provided to you before you accept the quotation and order the report.

13. Updates to Depreciation Reports

We offer free updates to reports we have prepared for our clients, where there are less than 10 additional items and the total value of works is less than $10,000. Koste reserves the right to limit the number of updates provided for a single report.

14. Furniture Lists

Unless previously agreed, the Schedule provided does not include furniture lists as standard. The inclusion of furniture assets attracts an additional $100 fee on residential property schedules.

15. Report Format

Koste provides reports in PDF format and not hard copy to keep our pricing low.
